ATAP or NTMP? What is the difference?

    The City of Bloomington is updating our transportation plans to better serve the current and future needs of Bloomington residents.  

    The Active Transportation Action Plan (ATAP) is the plan that will guide improvements to the people powered transportation system, sidewalks, bikeways, trails, pedestrian crossing enhancements.  

    The Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan (NTMP) is the plan that will provide tools to minimize motor vehicle transportation impacts on neighborhoods, considering traffic calming, speed limits, speed radar signs, and more.

    How are the Active Transportation Action Plan and the Alternative Transportation Plan connected?

    The Active Transportation Action Plan (ATAP) is the plan that will guide improvements to the people powered transportation system, including sidewalks, bikeways, and trails.  This plan will serve as an expanded update to the existing 2014 Alternative Transportation Plan.
