Energy Disclosure Survey

Home energy affects our comfort, health, and pocketbooks. The way we fuel our homes also impacts climate change.

The City wants every new homeowner to understand how their home uses energy. Every home purchased since April 1, 2022 has an Energy Disclosure Report.* This report scores homes on energy efficiency and recommends home energy improvements.

*In September 2021, City Council adopted the Time of Sale Energy Disclosure Ordinance, which requires a report describing the overall energy efficiency score of a dwelling’s energy assets [Referred to as an Energy Disclosure Report]. The ordinance became effective April 1, 2022.
