Close the loop by picking up free compost

Questions about the compost? This year's compost was Seventh Generations Compost purchased from Dakota Prairie Composting (previously SMSC Organics Recycling Facility), which is where Bloomington organics get composted!

On Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Western Maintenance Facility, Bloomington residents participating in organics recycling took home up to three 40-pound bags of compost.

The compost giveaway, funded through a Hennepin County grant, is intended to encourage participation in full circle organics recycling that begins and ends with residents.
