The Racial Equity Strategic Planning Committee (RESPC) unites residents, community leaders, and partners to tackle long-standing racial disparities in Bloomington. We believe equity is more than a moral goal—it’s essential for our city’s growth, success, and sense of belonging.
Through open dialogue and collaboration across cultures, RESPC works to identify challenges, share ideas, and develop actionable solutions that uplift every voice. Past focus areas have included supporting small business growth, creating alternatives to prison sentencing, and launching anti-poverty initiatives.
As Bloomington continues to grow and diversify, RESPC serves as a space for honest conversations, innovative ideas, and partnerships that help build a fairer, stronger community for all.
