PARK PREMIERES

Inspired by community input as part of the 2021 Park System Master Plan and further refined with community guidance, Bryant and Tretbaugh parks have been reimagined and are ready for their public premieres!

Bryant inclusive playground and new shelter + Tretbaugh barrels and pump track

  • On Monday, October 6, 4:30–6 p.m., celebrate the grand opening of Bryant Park, 1001 W. 85th St. The park now features Bloomington’s first fully inclusive and accessible playground, a new from-the-ground-up park shelter building, a skatepark, baseball field, hockey rink, cricket pitch, and new tennis and basketball courts.
  • On Tuesday, October 7, 4:30–6 p.m., gather at Tretbaugh Park, 3701 W. 90th St. for the official unveiling of Bloomington's first dedicated bike skills park. The new facility features a paved, all-wheel track with tot, beginner, intermediate and expert options, an unpaved mountain bike course, new pavilion and more.

Both parks include significantly improved and more sustainable natural resource areas and each celebration will feature remarks from Mayor Tim Busse, a formal ribbon cutting, free treats and most importantly, your first chance to experience these wonderful new community amenities. Mark your calendars and plan to attend.
