Consultation has concluded

The City of Bloomington is planning for Electric Vehicle (EVs) infrastructure. This plan will help the City determine how EV charging infrastructure is incorporated into the Community and how the City’s fleet of vehicles will adopt EVs. EVs are a key part of the City’s programs to address climate change and this plan will provide the roadmap to integrating them in infrastructure projects.

On January 29, 2024 the final plan was presented and accepted by the City Council.

The four components of this plan are:

  • An inventory of Bloomington’s current EV facilities (existing conditions).
  • A review of regulatory frameworks to understand what might work best for Bloomington.
  • Stakeholder engagement activities with agencies, businesses, and the public.
  • A comprehensive EV Infrastructure plan for Bloomington.
