Moir Park Concept Review and Project Feedback

Moir Park is being reimagined as part of the Nine Mile Creek Corridor project.  The two concepts imagine a park placed within an existing prairie and create an experience of being in nature.

The following are given in the reimagined park based on public input and professional recommendations:

  • A new ADA compliant trail will be constructed between Moir Park and the creek.
  • Construction materials will have a natural / rustic feel.
  • The existing building and shelter will be replaced with a single, new, open air shelter with year-round restrooms.
  • The park options explore nature and adventurous free play in lieu of a traditional playground.
  • A short walking loop will be incorporated into the design.
  • Disc golf will remain.

The prairie and adventure theme concepts shown below offer a range of options for Moir Park. Your feedback by November 15 on these two park concepts will help the design team narrow down the options for the park.
