Consultation has concluded

We are seeking your input on the areas that shared vehicles, such as dockless scooters and bikes, are able to operate within Bloomington. Currently shared vehicles are only permitted to operate within the South Loop, Penn-American and Normandale Lake Development Districts. Based on feedback provided by shared vehicle providers the current limited approved areas create operational and business challenges that make deployment of shared vehicles in Bloomington unlikely.

In an effort to make shared vehicle deployment more viable and expand access to a larger population of Bloomington City Staff is in the process of drafting changes to the City Code that will be presented to the City Council for their consideration as part of a Public Hearing tentatively scheduled for mid to late July. Your feedback will be shared with the City Council and help guide City Staff on proposed changes to the City’s shared vehicle policy.

Registration is not required to participate, however we encourage your registration to stay informed on this project and more.
