PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & DESIGN
The City will be replacing the sanitary sewer main underneath 100th Street between Pleasant Avenue and 3rd Avenue in 2025. The existing sanitary sewer in the project area is approaching capacity and planned development in the area has necessitated upsizing. The project consists of installing sanitary sewer main under the street, possible replacement of storm sewer elements, and replacement of the street above. Due to the depth of sanitary sewer, the impacts will be the entire street width and into the boulevard areas. The work will remain within the existing city right-of-way.
In accordance with the City’s policy for reconstructed streets, all streets reconstructed under this project will be 32’ wide.
PROJECT FUNDING
The City will be using a combination of funding sources to complete the project. Sanitary sewer utility funds will be used to fund the sanitary sewer replacement and reconstruction of the street. If additional storm sewer work is identified, storm sewer utility funds will be used for that portion of the project. There is no direct assessment to adjacent property owners for this project.
PROJECT SCHEDULE
Project design will continue into early 2025. The City plans on bidding this project in April 2025 with work to begin in May 2025 and be completed in Fall 2025.
