We’re Listening! Sustainability Commissioner, Yanyan Zeng, and the City of Bloomington are engaging in neighborhood conversations with residents from Census tract 254.01 focused on either transportation or energy savings.
Those who are not qualified to attend in-person sessions are encouraged to fill out this online survey, which is open to all residents.
To see if you qualify:
Participants must live in Census tract 254.01, which is located within I-494, Portland Ave. S, E 90th St., and the railroad tracks (shown in green box).Map of Census tract 254.01

Those who do not live in this area but received a yellow postcard invitation in the mail from the City of Bloomington are still able to register for in-person sessions.
About the workshops
During these 90-minute workshops, participants will be able to express their thoughts out loud and also using materials such as whiteboards, markers, magnets, photos, and stickers.
Participants can also learn about energy assistance and home improvement programs available for them.
To help compensate residents for their time, each adult will receive a $20 grocery gift card. Refreshments and activities for children will also be provided.
The City will use information from these sessions to inform future initiatives aimed at lowering energy burdens, improving public health, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and ensuring environmental equity and justice for all residents.
